Paul Hoelen, born in New Zealand to a Dutch boatbuilder and an American Nun, found his home in Tasmania in 1998, drawn to its wild beauty. A recipient of numerous national and international awards, including AIPP Tasmanian Professional Photographer of the Year, Paul is recognized as a Master of Photography and Fellow of the NZIPP. He judges at various levels, contributes to magazines, and serves as an industry ambassador. With solo exhibitions like ‘Touched By Light’ and ‘Visual Synergy,’ Paul’s work explores wilderness and collage-based genres. As a member of The Light Collective, his diverse projects span photography workshops, documentary work, and commercial collaborations, showcasing his passion for unique landscapes and visual storytelling.
