Description

The tininess of your baby changes in the blink of an eye. I capture these moments to last forever in my portrait studio in Brighton, Bayside Melbourne.

My studio is full of beautiful props and drops that I source from around the world. I use different natural textures, fabrics and colours to compliment your baby but unless you would prefer, my emphasis is always on your baby, and not on the props. My studio is peaceful, quiet and warm, and during each session, I take my time with your baby to allow settling and feeding as required so that they are happy, calm and relaxed.

From start to finish, my photography sessions are not just a photo shoot, they are a special experience you will remember fondly forever.

Newborn photography is a specialised area of photography and I take your baby’s safety very seriously. I am a former physiotherapist, and I spend many hours of professional development to ensure the safe handling and posing of your precious baby. My vaccinations are up to date, I have infant first aid training, I am fully insured, and I have a current Working with Children check. I am also a member of the INPA (Infant Newborn Photography Association).

After the photo session you will be invited to my studio to view the images I have spent a lot of love and time finely editing – as I shoot for low volume, high quality, this is usually up to 30 images per session. You can choose your package from this gallery. You are required to pay a non-refundable retainer of $250 upon booking. Packages start at $450 for 6 finely crafted and edited digital images and their prints.

Photographer Profile - Susan Bradfield

I am a Melbourne based photographer working in Brighton, bayside Melbourne.

From start to finish, my photography sessions are not just a photo shoot, they are a special experience you will remember fondly forever.
I aim to create honest, timeless images that show connection, emotion and soul.

Once a physiotherapist, and a ‘professional’ expat who has lived in London, Shanghai and Zurich, I am now proud to have made the transition to professional photography. As a mother of two, I understand the invaluable and important legacy of photographic memories and passionately believe in the importance of documenting our lives. My goal is to capture connection and emotion: of beautiful moments when loved ones are together.

Whether it is a newborn, maternity, family shoot, or a headshot, photography is my way of capturing a life’s story in a moment that will last for generations to come.
