We specialize in portraits, personal branding images and professional headshots.
We are based in Bibra Lake, Cockburn but also travel around Perth for on location photoshoots.

Our studio is run by Yulia Galushina, whose career as a photographer began in 2004. Yulia has shot commercial and social projects all over the world including Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Czech Republic, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Cuba, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Her portfolio includes famous musicians, singers, sailors, bloggers, fashion designers, business owners and families. Yulia’s work has been recognised with numerous awards, international publications and exhibitions.

Yulia has lived in Australia since 2019. She founded Modern Portraits Perth to create unique portraits for Perth residents and visitors. Her portrait of legendary Australian sailor John Saunders is featured in the Royal Perth Yacht Club archive.

Our portraits are minimalistic and elegant, capturing natural poses and genuine emotion. All of this makes our portraits modern and timeless.

Our photo shoots take place in friendly and positive atmosphere. Yulia gently guides the process, making it enjoyable even for those who are camera shy.
