Offering both studio and on-location sessions, we pride ourselves in creating stunning images & custom artwork using your favourite images from your pet’s session.

At Megan O'Hehir Pet Photography we capture unique and engaging portraits of your best friend. Whether you're looking for colorful studio portraiture or a fun, outdoor adventure, we have you covered!

Every experience begins with a private one-on-one planning session (at our studio, or online), where we'll chat about your hopes for the session and learn how best to work with your pets. With a qualification in animal training and behaviour, we're well equipped to set our four-legged subjects at ease, creating a fun and relaxed experience for owner and pet alike. We've worked with pets of all temperaments and training levels; your pet does not need to have a reliable recall or know how to sit.

We offer long-lasting, high-quality products including Wall art through to smaller tabletop items and digital file packages (perfect for those renting or low on space).

FAQs

My pet has no training / is reactive/ excitable/ nervous

People often feel embarrassed if their pet is excitable, reactive, or has no training. Please don’t be! We regularly see all sorts of pets with a broad range of backgrounds - including no training at all, highly excitable, nervous or reactive. We’ll chat about your pet's specific needs in your planning appointment, and work out the best way to work with them and make them feel at ease. We haven’t failed a pet parent yet! ( I hear you say “We could be the first!”, my reply? “challenge accepted!” :) ).

How much are sessions and what's included?

Our sessions are $175 and include: - A 1:1 private planning appointment where we’ll plan your dream photo session. - 90min photo session for up to two pets from the same household (choice of studio or outdoor session). - A ‘Viewing & ordering appointment’ at our Studio, (or online via video call), to select and purchase your favourite images, and design artwork. - A complimentary 5x7in matted print of your favourite image - OR - swap your print and receive $100 credit to use towards products, artwork, or digital file packages from your session. Please note, no additional images or artwork is included, beyond what is outlined above. Artwork and digital file packages are available to purchase, should you wish, at your viewing & ordering appointment. Products & packages begin at $395.

My pet cannot travel / Do you offer at home sessions?

We believe a good location definitely adds to the magic of your final images, however, we do understand some pets are not able to travel. In these instances, we do offer at-home sessions. Whilst not the only reasons, here are some of the most common reasons clients request at-home sessions: - frail or terminally ill pets - unvaccinated puppies/kittens - Does not travel well in car (anxiety or car sickness) - Has severe anxiety or is reactive outside of the home. - Is an animal that may be stressed with change of location (cats, birds, rabbits etc).

Do you photograph pets other than dogs?

Whilst we specialise in photographing dogs, we have worked with a range of other pets, including cats, rabbits, and horses.
