The day your baby arrives earth side is an unforgettable moment in time. Newborn sessions allow us a chance to pause, marvel and celebrate your new little love, and capture all their perfect, teeny details! My home photography studio is based near the Swan Valley in Aveley, and is a welcoming calm space, perfectly suited for newborn sessions. I love to capture newborns and all their tiny details using neutral soft fabrics, keeping it minimal so we can focus on your baby.

I’m Christeen, the face behind the lens at Love Olive Photography. I’m a mum to two crazy but adorable little humans, and am married to my soulmate. I have over 9 years photography experience, and it’s my absolute passion. I love capturing life. The connection! The quirks! The things that make your little one unique! And most of all the love.

I have a clean, bright studio in the Swan Valley where I capture Maternity, Newborn, and Milestone Portraits. Living in the Swan Valley, I also am lucky to have many beautiful Perth locations on my doorstep for child and family portraits.

When should I book my newborn session?

It's best to book while you're still pregnant - ideally in your second or early third trimester — to secure your spot in my calendar.

What age is ideal for newborn photos?

I usually photograph newborns between 5-14 days old, but I welcome older babies too — we'll tailor the session to suit your little one.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Just your baby and nappy bag essentials! I provide wraps, outfits, and everything else we need - even a cuppa and grazing box for you to enjoy.

Can parents and siblings be included in the newborn session?

Absolutely. Your newborn session includes family images — I love capturing those first connections.

What if my baby is unsettled or won't sleep?

Every baby is unique, and we gently follow their lead. There’s never any pressure or rush — I’ve created a calm, nurturing space where we can pause for feeds, cuddles, or whatever your little one needs. Their comfort and wellbeing are always my top priority.
