I am a photographer who specialises in Newborn, Maternity and Family Photography. I offer sessions to capture your beautiful new baby in those first few precious weeks. As your baby and family grows I love to capture the journey for you. Gorgeous chubby baby sitter sessions, fun cake smash and splash sessions to celebrate a first birthday and even sunrise and sunset shoots I love capturing precious moments for you, your children, your family in your life. My style is natural, simple and beautiful.

I originally studied and became a Clinical Psychologist and I loved it. But photography has been a passion and a hobby since high school. After my son was born my love for photography steadily grew. I switched to digital photography and my passion exploded. With Babies #2 and #3 I learnt more about photography. I took courses, webinars, workshops and I took A LOT of photos of my kids. Friends and family kept telling me to do something with my photography. I did some shoots for friends. I learnt more. And I fell more and more in love with what this medium can capture and express.

Now I am an award winning newborn and family photographer and I am passionate about capturing special moments for you to cherish as well.

FAQs

Can our family photos be indoors?

Yes. With babies, especially babies who are not yet walking I recommend an indoor family session. however outdoor sessions are also an option especially with babies and toddlers who are walking, allowing us to use play and exploring in the session to capture some beautiful and natural portraits.

What if my baby or child won't smile?

Don't worry! As a mum of 3 children I know that children do not always "perform" on queue. But with some fun games and lots of silly faces from me, I can usually get a smile out of even the shy-set of children. Using play and games helps me to elicit natural, real smiles from your child, rather than those "cheesy" grins we get when we ask children to smile on queue.

What time of day is best for family portraits?

I recommend family portraits are captured in the morning, as early as possible. Even sunrise, if you are early rises and you are wanting an outdoor session. Mornings are usually when small children are at their best and the light is beautiful and soft then too, not glory so we avoid lots of photos with squinted eyes.
