Congratulations on your pregnancy!
A maternity session is a beautiful reminder of the magic and beauty of pregnancy. Documenting this special time in your life will allow you to look back on the feelings of joy and anticipation you feel now for years to come.
I have the perfect setting for a maternity session, with the beach and dunes on one side of the studio and Kananook Creek on the other. I have an extensive collection of stunning maternity gowns that will make any mum feel like a beautiful goddess!
The best time to take maternity photos is during your seventh or eighth month of pregnancy, between 33-35 weeks. In your third trimester, your belly develops a round shape that’s perfect for showing off in photos. Plus, your baby will not yet have begun to move downward at this point in your pregnancy, so your belly will be higher and create that maternity silhouette that looks amazing in photos.
If you schedule your session too early in your pregnancy, your bump may not be as prominent and visible as you’d like.
Plan for an earlier shoot if you’re expecting multiple
If you’re expecting twins—or even triplets—schedule your maternity session for your second trimester. Your baby bump will appear more prominent in the second trimester if you carry more than one child, so you don’t have to worry about waiting to look pregnant. If you’re having multiples, it’s a good idea to schedule your maternity session for around 28 weeks. Later in your pregnancy, you will probably have more difficulty moving around and posing comfortably.

I have been a passionate photographer ever since I can remember. I brought my first camera when I was 14 years old, and from that day on, I've seen everything in life through a lens. I'm blessed to have three children. They have all been happy little models over the years, well, most of the time!
After having my son Billy in 2012 and eight years of photography experience up my sleeve, I thought it was time to open up my studio. I started Bellyboo photography in 2012.
I still enjoyed every moment! When you do what you love, it doesn't feel like work. I get excited about learning new technics and styles. I have a burning desire to learn more and more about photography and babies!
I pride myself on giving the best experience to all of my clients.
I would love to hear about your unique style and start planning your session with you.
